With summer here, our children will have more time available for video games, television, and smartphones. Parents please take a few minutes to watch these videos. Then, you and your children can establish rules and guidelines for the summer months PRIOR to screen time getting out of hand.

Moment– Moment is an iOS app that automatically tracks how much you use your iPhone and iPad each day. If you’re using your iphone too much, you can set daily limits on yourself and be notified when you go over. You can even force yourself off your device when you’re over your limit.
Checky– Moment is an iOS app that automatically tracks how many times you check your phone a day. By giving you insight into you phone checking habit, Checky helps you become more aware. This awareness can help you make a change to your phone usage, if you feel the need to make a change.
QualityTime– QualityTime is a Google Play app for Android that automatically tracks your smartphone usage. Once you have detailed insight on your smartphone habits, you can then manage your digital diet accordingly.
Breakfree– Breakfree is another Google Play app for Android that’s aimed at controlling smartphone addiction. It provides usage monitoring, non intrusive notifications, phone management tools, parental controls, and usage statistics.
